Life Sciences is one of the stronger-performing sectors in the Q2 2026 Market Authority Index benchmark. Across 27 brands spanning seven subsectors, the sector averages 67.3 out of 100 with a median of 71, placing it above the cross-sector portfolio average of 64.1. The certification rate of 63.0% is in line with the benchmark-wide average.
This is a purely B2B sector. Every brand in the dataset sells to pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, research institutions, or healthcare practitioners. Despite operating in markets where purchasing decisions are technical and relationship-driven, the leading brands have built substantial digital authority.
Four brands achieve Gold certification: ThalesNano (83), H.E.L Group (83), SpinChem (82), and Syrris (82), all from the Flow Chemistry Equipment subsector. Eleven achieve Silver, spanning medical imaging, contract research, health practice software, and medical devices. The sector leader is not a global pharmaceutical name but a specialised instrumentation company.
The most striking finding is the subsector variation. Flow Chemistry Equipment, a niche within scientific instrumentation, achieves a remarkable average of 77.8 with 100% certification across all eight brands. No other subsector in the full benchmark matches this consistency. Health Practice Software, by contrast, averages 61.9. Contract Manufacturing Organisations average 60.5, reflecting businesses where brand visibility is simply not treated as a priority.
Among the seven fully assessed brands, Proof and Validation is the weakest pillar at 10.1 out of 25. Life sciences brands often have extensive peer-reviewed evidence, clinical validation, and institutional endorsements, but this proof is frequently locked behind paywalls, published in specialist journals, or shared through private channels rather than structured for digital discovery.
This is an indicative report. Of the 27 brands, seven have been fully assessed, nineteen carry signal-based estimates, and one carries a model-based expected score. A complete sector report with expanded assessed coverage is planned for Q3 2026, and will provide deeper sub-pillar analysis across all brands.
