Which Brands Will AI Recommend?

Almost half the brands we assessed are at risk of being invisible to AI.

And these are the leaders in their sectors.

We just published our Q2 2026 Market Authority Index Benchmark covering 158 brands across 28 sectors. The biggest independent assessment of brand authority we have run.

A few things surprised us.

Treehotel, a micro brand in terms of size but not in terms of brand authority, scored higher on Human Authority than most medium and large companies in the dataset. Size does not determine authority. How you build trust does.

Swedish industrial brands have world class Structural Confidence. Filing, governance, longevity. All strong. But Human Authority lags behind, and that is what AI systems use to decide who to recommend. The risk is real. Being well run is no longer enough to be visible.

B2C brands outperform B2B by 8.6 points on average. The gap is not about operations. It is about proof. B2B brands score just 9.2 out of 25 on third party validation. That is the difference between being recommended and being overlooked.

90 brands achieved certification. 19 reached Gold. But Gold status only exists in 6 of 28 sectors.
